Seasonal Gardeners
Seasonal gardeners will assist the Horticulture Staff in maintaining the botanical collection across the 64 acres of Zoo grounds and our 3-acre horticultural show garden, which includes a 5,000 sq. ft. conservatory. Typical duties include routine plant care, such as watering, pruning, fertilizing, weeding, and planting. Candidates should be prepared to work in all weather conditions and must be extremely dependable. Experience with gardening power equipment and knowledge of irrigation systems a plus. Student in horticulture, agriculture, botany, ecology, or related field preferred but not required. These positions are 40 hours per week and generally run May through August.
